Robert Moggach

About

I’ve lived many lives around the world and through the work I do.
Builder. Entrepreneur. Artist. Filmmaker. Producer. Writer.

Some days I lead a team.

Some days I write code or push pixels around a screen.

Some days I write, scribble, draw & paint.

Some days I just sit with a problem until the solution speaks.

I’ve created for screens big and small, for investors, for dreamers, for artists, and for brands you know and others you never will. I’ve built studios, systems, ideas, products and companies from scratch and helped others do the same. Sometimes out of vision. Sometimes out of necessity.

Feeling > Knowing

I believe in:

  • doing the work well, with great humans who care
  • constantly improving one's craft on a canvas or a spreadsheet
  • thinking, living, reflecting, building with a creative mindset
  • the challenge

This is my path... grateful to be here.

I Collaborate. I Craft. I Create.

Bio

Robert earned his BAA from Ryerson University in Toronto, studying Film, Photography, and New Media. His early work explored large‑format, sculptural photographic montages. His thesis was featured in Creativity magazine’s annual showcase, leading to work branding Edward Burtynsky’s Toronto Image Works.

Drawn to the rapid growth of digital tools, he completed a postgraduate in Computer Animation at Sheridan College. That opened the door to a global VFX career that took him to Los Angeles, London, New York, and Toronto. Over more than 20 years, he worked with some of the most creative studios in the world, delivering projects for major films, global brands, and cutting‑edge campaigns.

Returning to Toronto, he built Dashing, a creative studio that started as a VFX boutique and evolved into a flexible creative advocacy. Dashing became his platform for solving complex problems, assembling world‑class teams, and delivering high‑impact work across film, design, advertising, and technology.

The projects have been diverse: full‑CGI automotive campaigns built in VR, interactive installations with custom hardware, user interfaces for VR platforms later acquired by a major studio, multiple company rebrands, VFX pipelines designed from scratch, remote production teams built to scale, and hundreds of visual effects shots delivered for Hollywood features.

Alongside this work, Robert has pursued writing, producing, and developing ambitious ventures that stretch beyond the screen; from mobile wellness innovation and biohacking to AI‑driven advocacy & platforms. Constantly building and supporting new ventures and helping people and projects flourish has become the most fulfilling part of his work. Creating is at the center of it. Building is how he brings it to life.
