3M launched Nexcare's "Will It or Won't It" campaign in June 2014 with three thirty second films built around one character: Nexcare Nana, an elderly stuntwoman played by Beverly Polcyn. Each film puts her through something that should destroy an ordinary bandage. This one is the dumpster.
Grey created the campaign. Benzo Theodore directed through Bandito Brothers in Los Angeles, Greg Baldi shot it and Ross Harris cut it. Zoic Studios handled post: Robert Moggach was creative director and VFX supervisor on the campaign, graded it and finished it on Flame.
Every film closes on the same line: no grandmas were hurt in the making of this video. The work drove a "Tough as Nana" sweepstakes, where people nominated someone tough they knew.
